Системы поиска повреждений изоляции EDS461 / 491 используются совместно с устройством контроля сопротивления изоляции ISOMETER® IRDH575 (рекомендуемый вариант) или генератором испытательного тока PGH. Они применяются для поиска повреждений изоляции (пофидерного контроля) в незаземлённых сетях (сетях IT). Сигнал испытательного тока, подаваемый устройством контроля сопротивления изоляции IRDH575 (рекомендуется) или генератором испытательного тока PGH, обнаруживается ТТ и оценивается системой поиска повреждений изоляции. К одной системе EDS461 / 491 можно подключить до 12 ТТ.

К одной линии интерфейса RS-485 (с протоколом BMS) можно подключить до 90 систем  EDS461 / 491, что позволит контролировать до 1080 фидеров. Максимальное время сканирования – 10 с, см. TGH1394.
